Flamenco is a Spanish art form that originates from the south of Spain and that consists of dancing, guitar playing, singing and hand clapping. We give you the chance to learn the basics in Malaga, a city with a strong flamenco background. Flamenco is an ancient art form, born of traditional music and song, which inspired an improvised dance. To this day, lots of parts of it are improvised, although set routines now feature more and can therefore be learnt in a class, one step at a time. And the great news is you don’t have to be fit or flexible to enjoy flamenco dance as you can start at a beginners level.

Having spent almost 6 years of my life in Spain, it seems to me more than necessary to express my opinion about the beautiful and colorful Malaga, especially now that the summer holidays are just around the corner. The Feria de Malaga (August 12 to 21) has ancient roots. It was first celebrated in 1491 to mark the entrance of the city into the territories of the kingdom of Castile.
